  1. We all do it, think about the what if I had the dosh? What would the hanger look like?

So having been thinking about it for ages I thought I’d come up with my biker’s dozen, the top twelve bikes I’d be out looking for once when those six numbers came up.

Ever since my days going to MAG rallies back in the 80s for a libertarian tinged protest against compulsory helmets, I’ve always hankered after a trike as a way not to have to wear one.

And if you’re going to go for a trike, what better than a purpose built one from Harley-Davidson?

A work-a-day utility vehicle used for everything from ice cream deliveries to workshop run around, now turned pure grin biking classic, a Servi-Car is definitely on my ‘one day’ list.

So having been thinking about it for ages I thought I’d come up with my biker’s dozen, the top twelve bikes I’d be out looking for once when those six numbers came up.

When it came out at the end of the seventies, the Sportster XLCR Café Racer was a bike that absolutely bombed, but now has something of a cult status.

At the time I thought it was quite striking and it was one of the inspirations for me to take my GS250T with its mild factory custom sit up and beg look, and butcher it into a bizarre café racer look with a set of ace bars, some truly nasty black vinyl tank and panel covers, a bikini fairing and bar end mirrors that vibrated so hard you couldn’t see anything behind you.

Not that anyone other than me would have ever made the connection.
